Road racing – Martin to make Supertwin debut

Tyco BMW rider Guy Martin is set to make his Supertwin racing debut, filling in for the injured Jamie Hamilton on the BE Engineering Racing Kawasaki ER-6 machine at the Armoy races.

With Hamilton still in hospital recovering from his serious crash at the Isle of Man TT in June, team owner John Burrows was keen to find a makeshift top level replacement, and Kirmington-based Martin will ride the Kawasaki 650 in the Supertwins class at Armoy, his debut in the class at the event, with practice getting underway on Friday, July 24.
